2nd Stew 65m (Couples position)
We are looking for a strong 2nd Stew/2nd Officer couple for a very busy private/charter expedition yacht that has a 5-year cruise plan. The vessel cruises off the beaten track; Northern Europe, Caribbean, Alaska, Sth Pacific. Typically, around 10 weeks of charter per year but the owner is always keen to charter it more!
We are looking for candidates who hold at least 3 years’ experience in the industry with some senior experience where you have been given additional responsibilities. This role provides a lot of responsibility and amazing career opportunities, working under 2 rotational Chief Stews. Crew longevity onboard.
The owner is lovely, looks after his crew and uses the vessel with his family and friends. Charter guests are typically down to earth and great to host. A lot of creative license onboard so we are interested in candidates who have a creative flair for table deco, themes, and interest in wine and cocktails with a high level of service. The 2nd Stew will be the right-hand man of the Chief Stew, expected to assist in leading the rest of the established interior team. Confidence in ability to lead, guide, motivate and nurture.
Shared cabin with a double bed!

Leave: 65 days
Salary: $ USD (DOE) + 13 month bonus + charter tips (+ very generous 3 year longevity bonus)
Start date: September: ideally early, but we can wait a few weeks for the ideal couple.
